Recently renovated, this ancient temple on the banks of the Amaravathi river enshrines Lord Vengadavan as Sri Varadaraja Perumal, standing in a somewhat small and beautiful divine form together with Nilamagal and Thirumagal. The foremost glory of this sthalam is that the Lord is believed to possess immeasurable power to bestow abundant grace upon those who pray to him with heartfelt faith. This is one of many ancient Perumal temples little known to devotees from other places, though dearly cherished by the local people. Vaikunta Ekadasi and all the Saturdays of the Purattasi month are observed here with grand festivity. For the flourishing of wellbeing and prosperity, the abhishekam worship performed on Saturdays is the special observance (thala visesham) of this temple. Devotees who come to this small Vaishnava shrine and worship Sri Varadaraja Perumal with sincere devotion are assured of his gracious blessings, and the darshan of his beautiful form is described as a joy to behold.

(இச்சிறு வைணவ ஆலயத்தில் அருள்பாலிக்கும் நம் வரதராஜ பெருமாளை, நம்பிக்கையுடன் உளமார வேண்டுவோர்க்கு நல்லருளைத்தரும் அளப்பரிய ஆற்றல் கொண்டவராக திகழ்வவது தலச்சிறப்புக்களில் முதன்மையானதாகும்) அமராவதி ஆற்றின் கரையில் அமைந்துள்ள இத்திருத்தலம், உள்ளூர் மக்களைத் தவிர, வெளியூர் பக்தர்களால் அதிகம் அறியப்படாத பல பழமையான பெருமாள் தலங்களில் ஒன்றாகும். வைகுண்ட ஏகாதசி மற்றும் புரட்டாசி மாதத்தில் வரும் அனைத்து சனிக்கிழமை நாட்களிலும் பெரும் திருவிழாக்கோலம் இத்திருத்தலத்தில், நலமும், வளமும் சிறக்க சனிக்கிழமை நாட்களில் நடைபெறும் அபிஷேக வழிபாடு தலவிசேஷமாகும்). 🙏🏻 ஓம் நமோ நாராயணாய நமக: 🇮🇳👍🏻*பாரத நாடு* *பழம்பெரும் நாடு!* *நீரதன் புதல்வர்!* *இந்நினைவகற்றாதீர்!*
