The Srinivasa Perumal of this Ponmalai hillock shrine in Krishnagiri district grants darshan in a form as beautiful as the standing Thiruvengadavan of Tirupati (Thirumalai). Among the district's renowned Perumal temples, this ancient hill shrine, reached by only forty steps, has been recently and finely renovated. All the important festivals observed at Thirumalai are celebrated here with equal grandeur, and the Garuda Sevai festival held here is especially cherished. During the month of Purattasi, devotees of this region who make a vow but are unable to travel to Thirumalai to behold Ezhumalayan come instead to this small shrine and perform abhishekam to Srinivasa in fulfilment of their vow (nerthi kadan). Affectionately called 'Chinna Tirupati', or Little Tirupati, by the people of Krishnagiri, this small Vaishnava kshetram also holds a special Saturday-evening worship conducted for the health and prosperity of devotees.

(🙏🏻 சிறப்புக்கள் பல பெற்ற இத்தலத்தின் பதிவுகள் சில மட்டும்; திருப்பதி (திருமலை)யில் நின்றிருக்கும் திருவேங்கடவனைப்போலவே அழகுமிகு தோற்றம் கொண்டவராக அருட்காட்சியளிக்கிறார. கிருஷ்ணகிரி பொன்மலை குன்று ஆலயத்தின் ஸ்ரீநிவாசப்பெருமாள். கிருஷ்ணகிரி மாவட்டத்தில் பிரசித்தி பெற்ற பெருமாள் ஆலயங்களில், சமீப காலத்தில் சிறப்பாக திருப்பணிகள் செய்யப்பட்டுள்ள (40-படிகள் மட்டுமே கொண்ட) இந்த பழமைமிகு பொன்மலை குன்று திருக்கோவிலும் ஒன்று. திருமலையில் நடைபெறும், முக்கியமான விழாக்கள் அனைத்தும் இச்சிறு ஆலயத்திலும் சிறப்பாக கொண்டாடப்படுவதும், அதில் நடைபெறும் கருடசேவை விழா வெகு விசேஷம் என்பதும் இத்தலச்சிறப்பாகும். இப்பகுதியில் வசிக்கும் மக்கள், புரட்டாசி மாதத்தில் வேண்டுதல் வைத்து திருமலை சென்று ஏழுமலையானை தரிசிக்க இயலாமல் போனால், நேர்த்திகடனாக இச்சிறுதலம் வந்து ஸ்ரீநிவாசருக்கு அபிஷேகம் செய்து வழிபடுவது வழக்கமாம். கிருஷ்ணகிரி மக்களால் "சின்னத்திருப்பதி"என செல்லமாக அழைக்கப்படும் இச்சிறு வைணவத்திருத்தலத்தில் நலமும், வளமும் சிறக்க நடைபெறும் சனிக்கிழமை மாலை வழிபாடு மற்றுமொரு தலவிசேஷம்). 🙏🏻ஓம் நமோ நாராயணாய நமக: 🇮🇳👍🏻 *பாரத நாடு* *பழம்பெரும் நாடு!* *நீரதன் புதல்வர்!* *இந்நினைவகற்றாதீர்!*
