At the green foothills of the Western Ghats, in the lovely little village of Thiruvannamalai, the Lord grants darshan as Sri Srinivasa Perumal, standing atop a hillock reached by just 160 steps and so closely resembling the Venkatajalapati of Tirumala Tirupati that He is fondly called the 'Then Tirupati' (Southern Tirupati). About a thousand years old, this is among the celebrated ancient Saiva and Vaishnava shrines of Virudhunagar district. Sri Vinayaka at the hill's base and Sri Yoga Narasimhar seated atop the hill are its special deities. Tradition holds that Lord Thiruvenkatavan of Tirumala once came here to hunt and, at the devotees' entreaty, chose to reside here as well; those unable to journey to Tirupati fulfil their vows at this shrine, where the pujas follow the Tirumala tradition. Purattasi Saturdays bring great festival grandeur, and the special morning worship held every Saturday is offered for agricultural prosperity and for long-delayed auspicious events at home to come to pass swiftly.

(🙏🏻 சிறப்புக்கள் பல பெற்ற இத்தலத்தின் பதிவுகள் சில மட்டும்; மேற்கு தொடர்ச்சி மலையின் பசுமை சூழ்ந்த அடிவாரத்தில், அமைந்துள்ள திருவண்ணாமலை எனும் அழகிய சிற்றூரில், 160-படிகட்டுகளே உள்ள எனும் திருவண்ணாமலை மலைக்குன்றின் மேல் நின்ற திருக்கோலத்தில் அருட்காட்சியளிக்கும் நம் ஸ்ரீநிவாசப்பெருமாள், அப்படியே அச்சு அசலாக திருப்பதி, திருமலை வெங்கடாஜலபதி சுவாமியை நினைவூட்டுகிறார். விருதுநகர் மாவட்டத்தில் பிரசித்தி பெற்ற பழமையான சைவ, வைணவ திருத்தலங்களுள், "தென் திருப்பதி" என்றழைக்கப்படும் சுமார் 1000-ஆண்டுகள் பழமையான இந்த திருவண்ணாமலை பெருமாளின் திருக்கோயிலும் ஒன்று. (மலை அடிவாரத்தில் வீற்றிருக்கும் ஸ்ரீவிநாயகப்பெருமானும், மலைமேல் அமர்ந்திருக்கும் ஸ்ரீயோக நரசிம்மரும் இத்திருத்தலத்தின் சிறப்பு பெற்றவர்களாக திகழ்கிறார்கள்) ஒரு முறை, நம் திருமலை திருவேங்கடவன், இப்பகுதிக்கு வேட்டைக்கு வந்ததாகவும், பக்தர்களின் வேண்டுதலுக்காக இத்திருத்தலத்திலும் அருட் குடிகொண்டதாகவும் தலவரலாறு கூறுகிறது. (வேண்டுதல் வைத்து திருப்பதி, திருமலை செல்ல இயலாத பக்தர்கள், இத்திருத்தலத்தில் தங்களது நேர்த்திக்கடன் செலுத்துகிறார்கள்) (திருப்பதி) திருமலை வழிபாட்டு முறையிலேயே இத்திருத்தலத்திலும் பூஜைகள் நடப்பது தலவிசேஷம். புரட்டாசி சனிக்கிழமை நாட்களில் பெரும் திருவிழாக்கோலம் காணும் இத்திருத்தலத்தில், விவசாயம் செழிக்கவும், இல்லங்களில் தடைப்பெற்று கொண்டேயிருக்கும் சுபநிகழ்வுகள் விரைவில் இனிதே நடந்தேறிட, பிரதி சனிக்கிழமைகளில் நடைபெறும் காலை வழிபாடு மற்றுமொரு தலவிசேஷம்). 🙏🏻ஓம் நமோ நாராயணாய நமக: 🇮🇳👍🏻 *பாரத நாடு* *பழம்பெரும் நாடு!* *நீரதன் புதல்வர்!* *இந்நினைவகற்றாதீர்!*
