Sanctified by Thirumangai Azhwar's hymns, this temple at Kavalampadi near Thirunangur is the 27th of the 108 Divya Desams and one of the eleven Thirunangur Thirupathis. In the garbhagriha beneath the Vedamoda Vimana, the Lord graces devotees in a slightly small form as Sri Gopalakrishna, facing east with Rukmani and Satyabhama; the utsavar couple is exceedingly beautiful. According to legend, "Kavalam" means a flower grove: wishing to reside with Satyabhama, Krishna sought a place rich in groves like Dwaraka and settled here, a place that remains green even today, which the sthala purana equates with the northern Dwaraka. Foremost among its glories is the belief that this is the very spot where Krishna planted the celestial Parijata flower, beloved of Satyabhama, in the earth. The temple's deity is among the eleven Thirupathi Lords who assemble for the renowned Thirunangur Garuda Sevai on the day after Thai Amavasai. Krishna Jayanti is celebrated grandly, and devotees worship the divine couple wholeheartedly for a good life-partner and marital harmony.

(🙏🏻 சிறப்புக்கள் பல பெற்ற இத்திருத்தலத்தின் பதிவுகள் சில மட்டும்; "ஏவிளங் கன்னிக் காகி இமையவர் கோனைச்செற்று காவளம் கடிநிறுத்துக் கற்பகம் கொண்டு போந்தாய் பூவளம் பொழில்கள் சூழ்ந்த புரந்தரன் செய்த நாங்கை காவளம்பாடி மேய கண்ணனே களை கனியே" என, திருமங்கையாழ்வாரால் மங்களாசாசனம் செய்யப்பட்ட இத்திருத்தலம், 108-திவ்யதேசங்களில், 27-ஆவது வைணவத் திருத்தலமாகும். (திருநாங்கூரைச் சுற்றியுள்ள 11-திருப்பதிகளில் ஒன்று) மிகவும் தொன்மையான இத்திருத்தலத்தின் வேதாமோத விமானத்தின் கீழுள்ள கருவறையில் நம் திருமால், சற்றே சிறிய தோற்றமாய் (ஸ்ரீ ருக்மணி, சத்யபாமா சமேத ) ஸ்ரீ கோபாலகிருஷ்ணனாக கிழக்கு நோக்கி அருட்காட்சியளிக்கிறார். (உற்சவர் தம்பதியர் வெகு அழகு) ஒரு புராண வரலாற்று நிகழ்விபடி; ('காவளம்' என்றால் பூஞ்சோலை) ஸ்ரீகிருஷ்ணர், ஸ்ரீபாமாவுடன் தங்க விரும்பி, துவாரகை போல பூஞ்சோலைகள் மிக்க ஒரு இடம்தேடி, இங்கு வந்து அமர்ந்தாராம். (இன்றைக்கும்கூட இந்த இடம் பசுமையாகத்தான் உள்ளது. இத்தலத்தை வடதுவாரகைக்கு இணையாக தலபுராணம் கூறுகிறது) அச்சமயம், ஸ்ரீ பாமாவுக்கு பிடித்த தேவலோக மலரான 'பாரிஜாத பூச்செடி' ஸ்ரீகிருஷ்ணரால் பூமியில் நடப்பட்ட இடம்தான் இந்த காவளம்பாடி என்பது தலச்சிறப்புக்களில் முதன்மையானதாகும். (தை அமாவாசைக்கு மறுநாளில், பிரசித்தி பெற்ற திருநாங்கூர் கருடசேவை பெருவிழாவிற்கு எழுந்தருளும் 11-திருப்பதி (உற்சவர்) இறைவர்களில் இத்திருத்தல இறைவனும் ஒருவர் என்பது மற்றுமொரு தலச்சிறப்பாகும்) கிருஷ்ண ஜெயந்தி விழா சிறப்பாக கொண்டாடப்படும் இத்திருத்தலத்தின் இறைதம்பதியரை, நல்வாழ்க்கை துணை அமையப்பெறவும், தம்பதியர் கருத்தொற்றுமை கூடிடவும் உளமார வழிபடுதல் நன்மை பயக்கும் என்பது நிச்சயமான நம்பிக்கை). 🙏🏻ஓம் ஸ்ரீ கிருஷ்ணாய நமக: 🇮🇳👍🏻*பாரத நாடு* *பழம்பெரும் நாடு!* *நீரதன் புதல்வர்!* *இந்நினைவகற்றாதீர்!*
