Sung in the mangalasasanam hymns of Thirumangai Azhwar, this sacred shrine at Thiruthetriyambalam near Thirunangur is one of the eleven Thirupathis clustered around Thirunangur and stands as the 37th of the 108 Divya Desams. In the sanctum beneath the Veda Vimanam, with Sridevi near his head and Bhumadevi near his feet, the Lord Sri Pallikonda Rangar, reckoned to be some 2000 years old, reclines facing east with four arms. Uniquely among the 108 Divya Desams, this is the only one called 'Ambalam', counted among its glories. Legend relates that after the Lord took the Varaha avatar to slay the asura Hiranyaksha, who had carried off the earth, and restored the earth, he rested here as Pallikonda Ranganathar to relieve his battle-weariness. Manavala Mamunigal is said to have had darshan here. This Lord is one of the eleven Thirupathi deities who process in the famed Thirunangur Garuda Sevai on the day after Thai Amavasya. Vaikunta Ekadasi is grandly celebrated, and those seeking promotion or advancement in position worship the divine couple with heartfelt devotion.

(🙏🏻 சிறப்புக்கள் பல பெற்ற இத்திருத்தலத்தின் பதிவுகள் சில மட்டும்; 'சீரணிந்த மணிமாடம் திகழும் நாங்கூர்த் திருத்தெற்றியம்பலத்துளென் செங்கண்மாலை கூரணிந்த வேல்வலவன் ஆலிநாடன் கொடிமாட மங்கையர்கோன் குறையலாளி பாரணிந்த..,' எனத்தொடரும், திருமங்கையாழ்வாரால் மங்களாசாசனம் செய்யப்பட்ட இத்திருத்தலம், (திருநாங்கூரைச்சுற்றியுள்ள 11-திருப்பதிகளுள் ஒன்று) 108-திவய்தேசங்களில் 37-வது வைணவத்திருத்தலமாகும். தொன்மையான ஆலயத்தின் வேத விமானத்தின் கீழுள்ள கருவறையில், தலைப்பக்கம் ஸ்ரீதேவியும், பாதத்தின் அருகில் பூமாதேவியும் உடனிருக்க, இத்திருத்தலத்தின் இறைவனான ஸ்ரீ பள்ளிகொண்ட ரங்கர் (சுமார் 2000-ஆண்டுகள் பழமையானவராக) கிழக்கு நோக்கிய சயன திருக்கோலத்தில் நான்கு புஜங்களுடன் அருட்காட்சியளிக்கிறார். 108-திவ்ய தேசங்களில், இத்திருத்தலம் மட்டுமே 'அம்பலம்' என்றழைக்கப்படுவது தலச்சிறப்புக்களில் ஒன்றாகும். ஒரு புராண வரலாற்று நிகழ்விபடி; பூமியை தூக்கிச்சென்ற இரண்யாட்சன் என்ற அசுரனை, நம் பெருமாள் வராக அவதாரம் எடுத்து அழித்து பூமியை மீட்டபின், போர் புரிந்த களைப்பு தீர இத்திருத்தலத்தில் பள்ளிகொண்ட ரங்கநாதராக ஒய்வெடுத்ததாக தலவரலாறு கூறுகிறது. மணவாள மாமுனிகள் இத்தல இறைவனை தரிசனம் கண்டுள்ளாராம். (வருகின்ற) தை அமாவாசைக்கு மறுநாளில், பிரசித்தி பெற்ற திருநாங்கூர் கருடசேவை பெருவிழாவிற்கு எழுந்தருளும் 11-திருப்பதி (உற்சவர்) இறைவர்களில் இத்திருத்தல இறைவனும் ஒருவர் என்பது மற்றுமொரு தலச்சிறப்பாகும். வைகுண்ட ஏகாதசி விழா சிறப்பாக கொண்டாடப்படும் இத்திருத்தலத்தின் இறை தம்பதியரை பதவி உயர்வு வேண்டுவோர் உளமார வழிபடுவது நிச்சயம் நன்மை பயக்கும் என்பது காலம்காலமான நம்பிக்கை). 🙏🏻ஓம் நமோ நாராயணாய நமக: 🇮🇳👍🏻*பாரத நாடு* *பழம்பெரும் நாடு!* *நீரதன் புதல்வர்!* *இந்நினைவகற்றாதீர்!*
