Sthala Mahātmyam
Set in the green and peaceful village of Puthupalayam, this small Vaishnava shrine dates back to the Pallava period and is regarded as over a thousand years old. In its sanctum, Sri Lakshmi Narayanar graces devotees with Thirumagal (Goddess Lakshmi) seated upon his left lap. The foremost glory of this sthalam is its reputation for resolving the most intractable problems between husband and wife. Devotees hold that even couples who feel permanent separation is inevitable, if they come here together and worship Lakshmi Narayanar with heartfelt faith, will surely receive blessings and a good outcome. Only a single-time (oru kala) pooja is performed here. The Saturday worship, conducted for the wellbeing and greater harmony of the family, including husband and wife, is considered especially auspicious. One of many ancient Vaishnava shrines little known to devotees from outside, this temple carries the long-standing belief that sincere worship of the divine couple removes discord between spouses and restores unity of heart and mind.

(🙏🏻 சிறப்புக்கள் பல பெற்ற இத்திருத்தலத்தின் பதிவுகள் சில மட்டும்; புதுப்பாளையம் எனும் பசுமையும், அமைதியும் நிறைந்த கிராமத்தில், பல்லவர்கள் காலத்தினைச்சேர்ந்த இச்சிறு வைணவ திருத்தலத்தின் கருவறையில், தனது இடது திருமடியில் நம் திருமகளை அமர்த்தியவாறு திருவருள்புரியும் ஸ்ரீ லக்ஷ்மி நாராயணர் சுமார் ஆயிரம் ஆண்டுகளுக்கும் மேற்பட்டவர் என்பது தலச்சிறப்பாகும். (🤔இத்திருத்தலத்தின் சிறப்பே, தம்பதியரின் தீராத தீர்வுகளை தீர்த்துவைக்கும் தலமாக போற்றப்படுவதுதான். இனி நிரந்தர பிரிவுதான் என நினைக்கும் தம்பதியர் ஒன்றாக இத்திருத்தலம் வந்து, உளமார்ந்த நம்பிக்கையுடன் லக்ஷ்மி நாராயணரை வழிபட்டால், நற்பலன் நிச்சயம் என்கிறார்கள் பக்தர்கள்) ஒரு கால பூஜை மட்டுமே நடைபெறும் இத்திருத்தலத்தில், கணவன் மனைவி உட்பட, குடும்ப ஒற்றுமை மேன்மையுற நடைபெறும் சனிக்கிழமை வழிபாடு விசேஷமாம். உள்ளூர் மக்களை தவிர வெளியூர் பக்தர்களால் அதிகம் அறியப்படாத பல பழமையான வைணவ திருத்தலத்தலங்களில் ஒன்றான இத்திருக்கோயிலின் இறை தம்பதியரை உளமார வழிபட, கணவன் மனைவி பிணக்குகள் நீங்கி கருத்தொற்றுமை கூடிடும் என்பது காலம்காலமான நம்பிக்கை). 🙏🏻ஓம் நமோ நாராயணாய நமக: 🇮🇳👍🏻*பாரத நாடு* *பழம்பெரும் நாடு!* *நீரதன் புதல்வர்!* *இந்நினைவகற்றாதீர்!*
