Sanctified by the hymns of Thirumangai Azhwar, this temple at Thirunangur is the 31st of the 108 Divya Desams and one of the eleven Thirunangur Thirupathis. Roughly 2000 years old and recently renovated, its garbhagriha beneath the golden Kanaka Vimana enshrines the Lord facing east as Sri Perarulalan, standing with his consorts on either side. It is said that because the Lord dwells in Paramapadam he is worshipped as "Arulalan," and because he graciously abides here with us he is called "Perarulalan." A unique glory of this kshetra is that, alone among the 108 Divya Desams, the Lord himself helped build his own temple. Another legend holds that after slaying Ravana, Sri Rama, on the counsel of sage Thirudanethirar, fashioned a golden cow (sempon) and gifted it here, giving the shrine its name "Semponsei Koyil." The beautiful utsavar is known as Semponnarangar and Herambar. Worshipped for prosperity in one's profession, the temple celebrates its Brahmotsavam on the Lord's star, Aippasi Swati, and the deity also attends the famed eleven-Garuda Sevai after Thai Amavasai.

(🙏🏻 சிறப்புக்கள் பல பெற்ற இத்திருத்தலத்தின் பதிவுகள் சில மட்டும்; 'பிறப்பொடு மூப்பொன்றில்லவன் தன்னைப்பேதியா இன்பவெள்ளத்தை இறப்பெதிர் காலக்கழிவுமானானை ஏழிசையின் சுவை தன்னை சிறப்புடையோர் நாங்கை நன்னடுவுள் செம்பொன்செய் கோவிலினுள்ளே மறைபெரும் பொருளை வானவர் கோனைக் கண்டு நான் வாழ்ந்தொழிந்தேனே" என, திருமங்கையாழ்வாரால் மங்களாசாசனம் செய்யப்பட்ட இத்திருத்தலம், 108-திவ்ய தேசங்களில், 31-வது வைணவத்திருக்கோவிலாகும். சமீப காலத்தில் சிறப்பாக திருப்பணிகள் செய்யப்பட்டுள்ள, சுமார் 2000-ஆண்டுகள் பழமையான இத்திருத்தலத்தின் கனக விமானத்தின் கீழுள்ள கருவறையில் நம் வேங்கடவன், கிழக்கு நோக்கியவாறு ஸ்ரீ பேரருளாளன் எனும் திருநாமத்துடன், தேவியர் இருபுறமும் உடனிருக்க நின்ற திருக்கோலத்தில் அருட்காட்சியளிக்கிறார். (இத்திருத்தலத்தில், நம் பெருமாள் பரமபதத்தில் இருப்பதால் 'அருளாளன்' என வணங்கப்படுகிறார். அவரே நம்முடன் இருப்பதால் 'பேரருளாளன்' என்றழைக்கப்படுகின்றாராம்) 108-திருப்பதிகளில், நம் பெருமாள் தன் கோயிலை தானே கட்ட உதவியது இத்திருத்தலத்திற்கு மட்டும்தான் என்பதும், ஸ்ரீ ராமபிரான், இராவண வதத்திற்குப்பின் திருடநேத்திரர் முனிவரின் அறிவுரைப்படி தங்கத்தினால் செம்பொன் (பசு) செய்து தானமாக இத்திருத்தலத்திற்கு கொடுத்தார் என்பதும் (அதனாலேயே, இத்தலத்திற்கு 'செம்பொன்செய் கோயில்' என்றொரு பெயரும் உண்டு) தலவரலாற்றுச்சிறப்புக்களில் சிலவாகும். ('செம்பொன்னரங்கர்', 'ஹேரம்பர்' என்று பல திருநாமங்களில் அழைக்கப்படும் உற்சவர் பெருமாள் வெகு அழகு) தொழில் வளம் சிறக்க வழிபடவேண்டிய இத்தல பெருமாளின் நட்சத்திரமான ஐப்பசி சுவாதியில் நடைபெறும் பிரம்மோற்சவ விழா மற்றும் தை அமாவாசைக்கு மறுதினம் திருவாங்கூரில் நடைபெறும் 11 கருட சேவைக்கு இத்தல (உற்சவர்) இறைவன் எழுந்தருள்வதும் வெகுவிசேஷம்). 🙏🏻ஓம் நமோ நாராயணாய நமக: 🇮🇳👍🏻*பாரத நாடு* *பழம்பெரும் நாடு!* *நீரதன் புதல்வர்!* *இந்நினைவகற்றாதீர்!*
